fun stuff.

Well, I typed a great post last week, monday to be exact. But blogger wasn't getting along with my computer, so out of anger I avoided blogger until today. ha. I basically had just written about my first Pirates game, being sick again, ya know. I even had a video of our amazing seats at the game, which I think was the root of the problem. This past weekend was fun. I hung out with my future roomie for most of it. Saturday we walked on the rail trail with our doggie and took her to the dog park. Then, we went downtown to the waterfront and sat on the dock for like an hour and talked about stuff. Then we had to leave because we gained a new "friend," who we named Eminem. He was listening to headphones and rapping..REALLY loud. When he walked out onto the dock he started rapping at us and then tried to start a conversation about dogs, since ours was sitting right there. haha. Casey got scared, and we left shortly after. We went out to dinner that night and forgot that it was graduation night and the place was packed. Plus, everyone else was dressed up and we were definately not. haha. But some cool waiter came out into the lobby and asked if we wanted to sit in his section, so we said sure. We only waited about 5 minutes, and when we left the same people were still waiting for tables. I felt about half V.I.P and half jerk. haha. oh well. Then we rented a movie and stayed in the rest of the night. It was fun! Then sunday we went to church, I had Kidstuff so I had to be there at 8 a.m. Then I went to the 11 o'clock service with my parents. Afterwords I chatted with my family, and Casey's. I even ended up talking to Quincy Wilson with my dad. haha. My dad is always making friends. Cool guy for sure though. Then I just chilled all day sunday and went to the Kidstuff finale picnic, which was fun. Then Casey and I cleaned and cleaned in preparation for me to move in sometime this summer. yay. Then monday and today I worked. And now here I am. I think I am going to read some now, I've been neglecting doing that. I want to stop just getting by with only reading a little each day. I feel a little dry. I am ready to get into the Word some. :) Sorry if that was painfully boring. haha. Bye.

Eh..

So this week hasn't been eventful thus far. I blame it on the 26 or so hours that I have worked since monday. ahh. I have been tired .. and I'm getting sick again. yuck. Two of my days at work this week have been double shifts .. so that means 10 hours in one day. That kills me .. and I realize how weak I still am from being sick for so long. But I am so used to the place that I work, that being there isn't such a drag .. if that makes any sense whatsoever. Today it seemed like everyone was in a bad mood, but I tried with everything in me not to give into the temptation to be bitter. My boss told me I looked like a bum because my little apron was falling down, so he made me take it off so he could fix it. He tied it ridiculously high, (like around the top of my stomach), and my necktie was tied down and hanging out the front. He started laughing, so I shrugged my shoulders and walked out on the floor. It made him laugh pretty hard. So if nothing else I can provide comic relief there. haha. AND I've gotten through this week without falling down, unlike last week. Friday, I was telling the story and demonstrating about how I almost fell, then I really fell while telling the story. It was awesome. Yeah, awesome is about the only word I can think of to describe it. Makes me laugh to think about it. Anyways, other than that I'm so thankful to God for sustaining me all week. But I am excited for the weekend, and to watch some Lost tonight. :).

Weekend.

This weekend was a great one for sure. Sunday morning I woke up and did various things involving getting ready for church. I was actually at home saturday night so I drove up sunday morning. My parent's had gone to the nine o'clock service and I always go to the eleven. (For obvious reasons .. zZzZ) lol. On the way to church I was talking on the phone to mom and we passed each other going opposite ways on the interstate. They waved hysterically and made me laugh so hard! They are so great. But anyways .. sunday was an amazing day. I got to church and it was "Volunteer Weekend" .. and every person who volunteered in some area of the church wore a lanyard. It was amazing to see the hundreds of people that it takes to make things happen. I wore a lanyard to represent KidStuff. I am an actor in the kidstuff theatre skits. I didn't want to wear more than one, but also wanted to represent being a part of the college/career ministry. Those are the two big ones in my life. Before I went into the sanctuary, I talked to tons of various friends and weaved my way through the crowd towards the auditorium. Then I got an invitation to a celebration picnic for all the KidStuff people. I think God was using all of this to show me that my life does have significance, and I saw it even though I wasn't searching for it at the moment. But we all want to feel accepted. When I made my way up to the front couple of rows where all of my friends sit, a friend of mine said that she had something for me after church. She had made me a cross-stitch with lyics on it from a favorite song of mine. I was so blessed by it. It was so carefully and intricately made. It just goes to show that God can use any of our giftings to bless others. After church was the monthly college/career mix. Lots of fun there hanging out, and I even made a new friend. After all that, I went to my good friend Becca's apartment. She and I basked in the sun on her deck and talked for hours about both lighthearted and serious issues. I need that in my life. After that was h2o .. the last one i might add. Tear tear. :'(. But I am WAY excited for the things to come with this ministry. After h2o I hung out with friends downtown, then to Becca's with Megan, Sarah, and Jason and then eventually went back to Casey and Jade's and stayed the night. Fun times. I got up at about 7 this morning and came back home. I proceeded to work 10 hours today and am now exhausted! But in a good way if that makes any sense. Today I got to read the Word and write some thoughts and prayers down before work. I wanted to face today with a heart full of praise for this great God that I serve. My love for Him is growing every day. If I weren't so tired I may have written this better, so I apologize for the poor sentence structure and grammatical errors that I'm sure are in here. Yay!

I decided that I wanted to start a light-hearted blog about the day to day things that happen in my life. Most of the time it is what inspires stuff that goes on the other blog, but lets be real, I don't have something inspiring to write on there every single day. lol..
Last night I stayed home on a friday night for the first time in soo long. :). It was great. I got home from Morgantown friday afternoon after staying with Casey thursday night. On friday we drove around looking for places that I could work when I move to Morgantown in the fall. Then she went to class and I went home. I ran errands with my mom, and then we came home and she started to make supper. I walked down the hill to Renee's and talked to her for a few minutes, which was nice. She was reading "Serve God, Save the Planet," which was cool because the author was just in Morgantown during "Another World Is Possible." Then me and my mom went to the Corner and got ice cream and rented Dan in Real Life. It was cute. I soon thereafter headed to bed and slept til like 10:30 today. haha. I am still tired from staying up almost all of Thursday night. Today was nice, I stayed home again until I left for work at about 3. My parents kept telling me how happy they were to have me home. :). Work was work. I don't really wanna go into details there. I probably will end up saying something really negative after almost 8 hours of continuous walking and no break. haha. Now I'm here and ready to fall asleep soon assuming I don't recieve a phone call tonight. Sorry this one was kinda bland. I'll write again soon. :D
